Concluding this sermon series on self-forgetfulness, we come to Psalm 34 in all of its emphasis on the goodness of God. We embrace the challenge it is to step outside of our own lens, outside of our own perspective, and into the grand perspective of the Universe. In this passage, we emphasize the depth of God’s love and attention for us as individuals and therefore are challenged to accept the mission of love and attention towards others. Emphasizing the depth of God's forgiveness towards us, it calls us to extend the same grace to others, paving the way for healing and reconciliation in our relationships and communities.
