As we conclude this sermon series on Hubs of Hope, we come to the concluding words of 1 John. At first read, a difficult ancient text to depict as it seems overwhelmed with the confession of Christ as the Son of God and eternal life. However, further immersion into the text allows us to understand the power of a testimony. The power of a testimony is our own faith’s journey of when God became more than a word used in our lives. The power of a testimony is when our faith took flight and we accepted the invitation to God’s hope for our lives.
