The prophet is to be pitied, just as you and I are to be pitied. Once the Gospel is infused inside of you and me, we can’t help ourselves - the message comes pouring out. We see the oppressed, the ignored, the marginalized, the hurting, the fatherless, and the widow, and we wreak of compassion and mercy. We don’t see someone to take advantage of. We see God's very image and run towards rather than away. The gospel is a fire in our bones and we proclaim it to cultures and communities that have substituted grace-oriented faith for pious religion, politics, and dogma. Scripture: Jeremiah 20:7-13
