Theology on Tap

Our focus is to create a safe place for dialogue, dinner and drink where we can discuss issues and learn new insights. Enjoy a pint and have a lively theological discussion. We meet at Rock Bottom Brewery in Highlands Ranch, CO at 6:30pm on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. For questions contact Bill Long at bill@gracecolorado.com

September 2022 - The “Protestant Work Ethic” in America  - The Protestant work ethic is a concept in theology, sociology, economics and history which emphasizes that diligence, discipline, and frugality are a result of a person's subscription to the values espoused by the Protestant faith; particularly Calvinism.  What are the positive and negative attributes of this industriousness?  What does Scripture say about hard work?  How has this ethic furthered and/or hindered the work of faith in our modern culture?
