Proverbs 1:5

Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance.

Adult Ministries at Grace seek to provide the environment and opportunities for adult learners to grow in the love and knowledge of Christ; grow in their understanding of Scripture; be transformed more and more into the likeness of Christ; encourage and build up one another in Christ; empower one another to live out the Gospel; empower people to use their gifts; and grow in understanding of God’s mission in the church community and beyond.

ARE YOU LIVING THE LIFE GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO LIVE?

Adult Enrichment Classes will begin on Sunday Sept. 24 at 9:00 AM in the Youth Room!  Join Tamara Zorn and others as we explore Pastor John Ortberg’s book, “All The Places To Go, How Will You Know?”  Pastor Ortberg says, “No matter who you are or where you are at in life, each and every day is alive with opportunity!  Our lives are filled with open doors.  But “open door” isn’t a phrase to describe just any opportunity.  An open door is an opportunity provided by God to act with God and for God.”  For six weeks we’ll explore how to recognize divine opportunities, which doors to walk through, how to cross thresholds by practicing discernment, the blessings of opening doors for others, the things that are holding us back, and we’ll explore why God leaves some doors closed.  Study guides will be available on Sept. 24 for a nominal cost. See you there!

Got Bounce? Exploring the Process of Resilience
by Jane W. Barton, MTS, MASM, CSA
Author of Caregiving for the GENIUS
As human beings, we will experience the highs and lows of life – and the transitions
between the peaks and valleys are rough. It is during the stressful, difficult times that
we realize the importance of resilience – the ability to “bounce back” from adversity.
Resilience is not a trait. Rather, it is a process of adaptation. Please join us to explore
this important process and identify the various factors contributing to resilience. Life
can be shocking to say the very least! Instead of being shattered by the unexpected
and the unwanted, we have the ability to choose a response to change. To meet the
most daunting challenges of life, we gotta have bounce!

This event will be held in the Sanctuary of Grace!

Please RSVP for lunch to the church office: 303-798-8485 or gracepres@gracecolorado.com
