What do Christians believe about Halloween? How did it originate?

There are many historic developments of this seasonal celebration from mesoamerican indigenous cultures
to the ancient Celts, but what is Halloween and All Saints Day, really, and does it matter? In the midst of a
death-denying, and grief-adverse culture we will explore different views of death and ancestry in light of a
robust Christian theology. Whether you grew up fearing Halloween or celebrating it as a harmless holiday
that is fun for kids, this class will be informative and fun (or spooky)!
